The Mississippi Center for Reentry (MS Reentry) annual Rethinking Reentry Conference is a highly anticipated conference promises to provide a transformative experience, bringing together experts, practitioners, and stakeholders dedicated to improving the reentry process for individuals transitioning from incarceration back into society.

The Rethinking Reentry Conference is designed to challenge conventional approaches and explore innovative strategies for successful reintegration of justice-impacted Mississippians. RRC focuses on addressing systemic barriers, leveraging new research, and implementing best practices to enhance the support structures available to individuals reentering the community.

Speaker Perks:

  1. Honorarium: $500-$3,000. Depends on the session type and length.

  2. Air Travel Stipend: Only if traveling from outside the state of Mississippi.

  3. Local travel reimbursement: For in-state speakers only.

  4. Lodging: Covered by the Mississippi Center for Reentry.​

​Qualifications:

  1. Holds a bachelor's degree or higher in chosen session topic.

  2. Lived criminal justice experience or experience speaking in front of a criminal justice audience.

  3. Must not be a previous Rethinking Reentry Conference Speaker.

Registration for the Rethinking Reentry conference will open late November/early December.
